How we work

Media Intelligence
3 distinct layers, many clear benefits.

We didn't replace our legacy systems to become a modern media company. We connected them, in three layers on the Microsoft stack. Select a layer to see how we built it, and a demo you can try.

Keep your systems.
Ask, or describe the view.

Our scheduling platform is older than some of the people who use it, and it's excellent. So we kept it, and connected it with every other legacy system to Microsoft Copilot through MCP. Nobody signs into five tools and hunts for an answer. They ask, and Copilot does the work. When leaders need a view, they describe it in plain language and Copilot builds it. We went from 340 dashboards nobody looked at to 41 that people actually run the company from.

Built for media.
Built on Microsoft.

Copilot is only as useful as the tools behind it. Our media specific tools, first-party from Microsoft and third-party from partners, do the work only a media company does: production planning, show-day operations, rights clearance, ad pacing, brand safety and localization. Each one leverages the full Microsoft stack, so it shares the same identity, governance and data, and shows up in Copilot and Teams where people already work.

All your data.
The whole business informed.

Every good answer starts with the right data. Fabric IQ brings five divisions, three acquisitions and three decades of business data together in Microsoft Fabric, and OneLake shortcuts mean nothing had to move. Work IQ adds how we work: the mail, meetings, files and chats in Microsoft 365. Web IQ adds what's happening outside: markets, audiences and news. Governance travels with the data, so Copilot's answers are trustworthy and reach only the people who should see them.

We run on Microsoft.
We show our work.

Zava Global is Microsoft's reference customer for media & entertainment. Everything we build — connectors, data models, dashboards, and the mistakes — is documented on our blog so other media companies can move faster than we did. Our sister company Zava (retail) does the same for retail.

Our story · 1998 → today

From two stations
to 140 million people.

Zava Broadcasting went on air from a converted warehouse in Culver City with two regional stations and 61 employees. Twenty-seven years later, Zava Global is a NASDAQ-listed diversified media company — and we still make things the same way: with curiosity, discipline, and a bias for building.

What we believe

Audiences first, always

Every decision starts with the person watching, listening or reading — and ends with whether we earned their time.

Keep what works, connect the rest

We don't rip out systems that do their job. We connect them, govern the data once, and put a conversation in front of everything.

Show your work

Transparency to our audiences, our investors and our industry. It's why our blog exists.

Build like a studio

Small teams, clear owners, fast iteration — whether it's a new show or a new data model.

Leadership

The people behind the group.

An executive team drawn from broadcasting, streaming, studios and enterprise technology, overseen by an independent board with deep media, finance and governance experience.
